Koh Chang Island is a destination that peoples around the world visit and is internationally-recognized as it is one of the vacancy a tourist can ask for.  And, it is one of the most beautiful tropical islands that a visitor could vacation. The island is listed as a marine national park, where nature has been allowed to exist and go unspoiled

Fully mature palm trees, glimmering sunsets, crystal clear emerald waters and fine white sandy beaches is where you will find the island of Koh Chang, a tropical marine national park in Thailand.  Koh Chang is Thailand’s second largest island and a beauty with over 70% virgin rainforest covering its land.  It sits to the east of the country on the Cambodian border in a province called Tratt. Located 140ml southeast of Bangkok.   This is one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations with tourist flying into the islands airport near Tratt, starting their vacation.

The name Koh Chang mans Elephant Island and has gone unspoiled by major production and commercial cultivation, and is the perfect destination for a vacation.  Accommodations include simple beach huts, bungalows, luxury villas, suites and apartments.  And, transportation includes motorbikes, cars and jeeps, which are easily accessible to the tourist.  Tourists will enjoy many streams and rivers surrounded by beautiful slopes providing a clean supply of water.  This is an idea vacation for the underwater adventurer, as coral and marine life is abundant.  Particular sites of interest for marine biology are Koh Chang noi. Kho Man Nick, Koh Yuak, Koh Wai, and Koh Ngam.

Klong Plu waterfall will also be a must as you will experience fascinating species of vegetation, birds and huge trees.  The waterfall is in three levels, and is an absolutely breath-taking experience that each island visitor should take advantage of. This is just one of the beauties of Thailand, as the area is abundant with waterfalls and beautiful nature, which allows swimming and diving from the rocks.  The tourist will also enjoy squid fishing, kayaking, hiking and elephant trekking tours through the jungle.  A very nice piece of nature indeed!

And, the cuisine?  Well, let’s just say that it is truly a mix for the pallet.  If you love seafood, you will love Koh Chang.  However, you may choose to stay away from the street vendors, as they do have a few different recipes.

This is truly the best of a Thailand experience and anyone seeking a relaxed vacation atmosphere in a beautiful surrounding should definitely consider Koh Chang Island.  You will not go unrecognized, and you will definitely be in for a vacation paradise.
