Koh Chang is the second largest island in the country of Thailand. More and more tourists are discovering this hidden treasure. It is now chosen by many international travellers when looking for an awesome vacation destination.
Marine National Park is made up of 52 islands. Koh Chang is the largest of these islands. It has been called a genuine hideaway and a dream escape. It is only 30 km. east of Bangkok and is described as relaxing, gentle, friendly, peaceful and romantic.
The best weather conditions are found from mid November to March. During this period, Koh Chang gets lots of sunshine with very little rain. The hottest temperatures of the year occur in March and April, with the rainy season being from May until October. Temperatures average around 28 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius year round. However, it is hotter in March and April when it sometimes reaches the high 30’s.
I randomly chose two hotels in Koh Chang to write about in this article. They are the Banpu Koh Chang Hotel and V.J. Hotel and Health Spa.
Banpu Koh Chang Hotel
The Banpu Koh Chang Hotel is located on White Sand Beach. It is a private resort that offers picturesque views of the superb scenery. It is on the end of Lam Koh Pu on the Gulf of Siam and has all of the modern amenities. V.J. Hotel and Health Spa
Klong Prow Beach is the location of the V.J. Hotel and Health Spa. It truly is a beautiful setting and is only two minutes away from the sandy beach that Klong Prao has to offer. The rooms are comfortable and are reasonably priced. The setting is peaceful and serene. The spa offers body treatments, facial treatments, aromatherapy, reflexology, Jacuzzi, berbel streams and massages. The restaurant specializes in seafood, western and Thai cuisine.

Pearl Beach
The shoreline here is not sandy, it is stony. Very nice boutique resorts are found here. Snorkelling is enjoyed here.
North Klong Prao Beach
Many three-star resorts are found at North Klong Prao Beach. A few shopping malls are located here. It is a quieter area than many of the spots found in Koh Chang.
Kai Bae Beach
Kai Bae Beach is a family beach. If you are travelling with children, this may be the perfect spot for you. Bungalows and boutique resorts are found here.
Klong Son
This is a village setting. There is an elephant camp here as well as a small waterfall and several fruit farms.
North White Sand Beach
The North White Sand Beach is the most popular beach in Koh Chang. It is also the busiest beach. If you plan on doing lots of shopping, this may be just the spot for you with an abundance of shops, restaurants and hotels.
